A lot of travel agents look for a good deal if you give them exactly what you want to do? What if you don’t know what there is to do? Michelle takes the time to ask “what do you like to to do?”, and then helps you plan your trip to your desired destination making it a fantastic trip. That personal touch of assisting you with “your” vacation is what sets her apart.” - Don M. Walters
Highly recommend Michelle Hibbert and Wellness Adventures Worldwide.I had the pleasure working with her on a 2 week trip to Spain and Portugal for 4 us. She listened to all of my requests and the trip was first class from the beginning to the end. I can’t wait to plan my next adventure with her.” - Tammy Mills
Wellness Adventures Worldwide should be your first choice for all vacation requirements. They are conscious of your needs and aim to ensure that everything is to a high standard. We had an amazing trip to Cancun which could have been ruined by a problem. However, nothing is beyond their ability to ensure you have a perfect vacation from initially finding the best destination to sorting out any issues. I really can not think of a better company to organize my vacation needs.” - Beth Jones-Evans
Wellness Adventure Worldwide was excellent! From the beginning, Michelle listened to what we needed and constantly making sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Originally, we had thought of doing an Italy/Greece trip, but after she got to know us a little bit better and what we actually wanted to do on our honeymoon, she suggested Thailand. After all the information she sent us, we were in love with the idea! I was so impressed that she was able to design a trip that fit exactly what we were looking for. There was one slight hiccup while we were there with an excursion being cancelled. I texted her to let her know and she responded immediately even though it was 4am her time! She constantly kept us updated until we figured out a solution that would work for us. I never expected her to respond that quickly, but it really shows how dedicated she was to making this trip smooth sailing for us.” - Catherine Evans
Wellness Adventures dedicates itself in ensuring it offers the ideal vacations, adventures and retreats that suits the unique needs of each our clients. We make an effort to personally know what experience you will have from the time you check-in until you return home. We will do our best to describe what each location or package has to offer and will be able to make a well-informed decision.
Oftentimes when we travel, we think about WHAT we want to do when we arrive but rarely take into account WHERE we want to stay while we are there. In between the major chains and the AirBnB options are unique, interesting and new places to rest and recover in between your adventures.
In addition to the many sites of London from the Big Eye to Buckingham Palace, we had a chance to experience four hotels in London to consider for your first or you next travel to London.
Hotels in London
The Curtain – In East London, Shoreditch. https://thecurtain.com/
Our first stop is The Curtain, first opened in May of 2017. Sitting in sits at the heart of London’s most creative district, this five star hotel has that New York Harlem feel while maintaining an upscale European vibe. There are 120 rooms with classic London decor of black doors with knockers, classic furniture including chesterfield chairs. Yet at the same time, adding a flair of artwork reminiscent of Harlem. If you are considering this for a gathering such as a wedding party or other group travel, the meeting space can hold 200 people and a viewing room is available. The famous Red Rooster, specializing in “soul food” is attached with live music events in the evening. Other amenities include a rooftop pool and brasserie restaurant available for guests and those in the members club. Speaking of the members club, those enrolled have additional access to a private lounge and club area that hosts cabaret nights and small concerts. Members also have access to gym and spa services. If you want a little urban feel in an urbane setting, consider The Curtain.
South Place Hotel – Shoreditch https://thecurtain.com/
Next on our tour is the The South Place Hotel. Open for 5 years, this hotel is situated near Liverpool Street station. Situated in the hustle and bustle of office buildings, this hotel is used by many corporate businesses. With 80 bedrooms, this place has a modern, clean look with everything a business and leisure traveler would need in the room, with a media hub for multiple methods of connectivity including bluetooth. The rooms start at “Good” with a walk-in shower. As you upgrade the room, you get more space and features. The “Greatest” is the equivalent to a full-service luxury suite. If you need meeting space, when the rooms are combined together, the area can hold 200 people. There is also a secret garden room where VIPS can hide out too. Other features include a rooftop terrace and restaurant. The Chop House is on the ground floor of the hotel. Although we would love to have pictures of the food, our hungry was greater than our patience. Trust us that the whole sea bass and sticky toffee pudding was tasty. Just an FYI, room prices are lower on the weekend due to the high use of corporate travelers during the week. If you have business to attend in London, with an option to have a weekend getaway, South Place may be the direction to go.
Nobu – Shoreditch https://thecurtain.com/
Nobu is another hotel new to London, opening January 2017. A blend of cultures, this hotel has a visually funky yet modern design. From the outside, the hotel can be quite deceiving for it provides an intimate atmosphere with just 148 rooms and suites. The hotel rooms are modern with a Japanese aesthetic. Instead of curtains, the rooms are decorated with interchangeable blinds. One of the unique amenities is a traditional Japanese tea set in each room. Fear not, amongst the traditions are modern touches such as Apple TV with Bluetooth connectivity and screen mirroring encased in custom-designed cabinets. The rooms have walk-in showers. Separate bathtubs are only available with upgraded rooms. If you desire a balcony view, you will need to book a suite. Spa services are available with 3 treatment rooms with the ability to host couples as well. If you need to keep up your workout routine, a small 24-hour fitness room. The key attraction for the Nobu is its restaurant. The restaurant is pioneered by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa who fused Japanese and Peruvian foods together. It is a spacious venue able to seat over 100 people in one sitting. For those seeking a bit more lively atmosphere, there is an outdoor patio space too and a large bar with a dj every weekend. So if you are looking to enjoy London in a unique setting, consider the Nobu.
The Artist Residence Hotel – Pimlico (near Victoria Station) https://artistresidencelondon.co.uk/
If you are looking for a quaint boutique hotel, then The Artist Residence may just be your cup of tea. There are only 10 rooms hotel, each with a different decor. Given the homey feel to it, you make consider this more an upscale B&B than a hotel. Each room is an adventure unto itself with vintage/eclectic items, such as smeg fridges, quirky artwork, and wooden boxes as bed side tables. Although small, there are a variety of rooms. We were able to view the grand suite, club suite and the medium room. Do not think this small hotel doesn’t have more to offer. As it is a small hotel you would not expect there to be much to it. However there are two small meeting rooms that can host small events. Also, they have a great restaurant on the ground floor whose menu changes with the season. And if you desire a little nip before you tuck away, underground there is a hidden (or so we thought) bar serving art-inspired cocktails that is open to the public. Even though there is no entertainment nearby surrounding the hotel, it is on a quiet road and is about a 7 min walk from Victoria Station where you can catch many buses to various destinations around London. Also you have access to the Victoria, Circle and District Lines. So if you are looking for a home away from home, the Artist Residence may just be the place for you./span>
